Friday is here again. It’ll be a long weekend for us. We’ll get an extra off day on Monday in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul.
Okay, previously I wrote about the things that I craved for during my pregnancy in here (insert link). One of those thing is the ‘pisang susu’. Since some of you are curious about it, this is what it looks like. To Carmelliny and Nick Phillips, this should be able to satisfy your curiosity..hehe…
Well, what can I say, it looks like pisang/banana la… :) I don’t remember ever seeing them in West Malaysia but here, you can get it anywhere. Banyak bah kana jual saana tamu….This bunch cost me RM1.50…a bit pricey compare to yesteryears. Last time, we can get a bunch like this for only RM1.00. Nowadays, all goods have become pricey..* sigh*
So, you guys have any plans for the weekend yet? Apart from paying my cuz a visit, most likely I will stay at home. Not in the mood to go hang kai due to the unpredictable weather. For the past few days, it was blazing hot in the morning but in the afternoon…its raining pulak. Rugi saja cuci kereta…petang kotor lagi balik….cis!
Anyway, have a nice day and enjoy your weekend everyone! To all Muslim friends, Selamat Menyambut Maulidur Rasul.

Hehe...should have post this a few days ago...but I was too malas to do so. The streamyx at home is a bit slow and the sadest part, the streamyx connection in the office is out... due to out-standing bills. It has been 3 days now. You can imagine la how boring it is without internet? *sigh* Blame it all to the Acc. Dept in KL. My goodness, how could they forgot or negelected to pay the phone bill??! Mind you, this is not the first time. Hmm, I'm not in the mood to rant about this.
Okay, this post is about the project that we did last weekend. Mom had been talking about utilizing the leftovers cement before it become over-exposed and wasted for quite some time. She wants to pave the ground near the drain. The initial plan was to have hubby do the job but since hubby was out-station again, there was a changed of plan.
Last Saturday, we – mom, maid & I decided to test our ‘power’ and skills on the job. Luckily, the kids next door came over to keep my daughter company. Ah, she was so happy to have some friends to play with, so no clingy baby for the day. :)
We started working on it in the morning. Well, the paving was no problem but the mixing part was testing our physical. There was a lot of physical strength involved in mixing the cement, rocks, sand and water. It was the hardest part I would say. It was my first time doing such work.

So, how’s the outcome? Well, our ‘work of art’ was far from perfect. It couldn’t hold a candle against the job done by experts….hahaha. Nevertheless, I’m quite satisfied with it…because we did it all by ourselves. Bulih la kampung-kampung...

That’s what I’m feeling now. Monday is supposed to be a busy day but not today. Well, at least for me la. I am bored. Nothing to do in the office. While colleagues in PJ are enjoying their replacement holiday for Thaipusam, here in Sabah, it’s working like usual. No half day for Chap Go Meh either. But strange, even with so much free time…I’m not in the mood to blog-hop. So, to prevent me from dozing-off to la-la land, I typed this quikie post. * wink*
How’s your weekend? Mine was fine. On Saturday, I went to our ex-3B1 reunion. * sigh* Looks like I have to re-schedule the post to tomorrow. Actually, I already finished typing it but darn, I forgot to download the pic from camera. Cis! Hmm…tida syiok bah bercerita teda gambar ni…felt like lost saja. Hehe…picture says a thousand words bah urang bilang.
Yesterday, I took mom to visit my Aunty house in Kg. Maang. It’s been a while since the two sisters met each other. Bila suda berjumpa, banyak la story mo share…..Spent 3 hours there but it felt like only a few minutes. I had an enjoyable time too, chatting with cousins like nobody’s business. Even daughter had great time…bonding with her cousins
Notice the little copycat, trying to imitate her cuz,Terry's action. :)
P/s: Happy Chap Go Meh to all !

Hmm..rainy season in KK. Flashfloods in many parts of KK. Flood up to one feet deep in several areas according to the Daily Express today. Just as hubby, mom, daughter and maid were recovering from the flu and sore-throat bugs, my suffering has just started. Woke-up this morning with a sore throat :( . As much as I hated the sore throat, I hated the cough even more! Don’t you just hate it, when you’re in the middle of a conversation, your throat started to get itchy and a few cough will surely follow. Cis…bikin malu saja!
It’s been raining on and off since Friday evening. So, no jalan-jalan last weekend. Better spend quality time with family at home…keeping daughter accompany while watching Hi-5 on the telly. She’s very fond of the songs. It’s so entertaining to watch her attempt at imitating the action and do her own version of the songs :)
With rain everyday, it is impossible to dry the clothes. All the lines were fully occupied! To make thing worse, my 5-year old Faber washing machine broke-down pulak for the second time. * sigh * Eventually, all the clothes have to be hand-washed. Thank God I have a maid to help do the washing. But having a washing machine does save a lot of time.
The problem with dear ol’ machine is, it refused to discharge the water. Dealt with the same “illness” a year and a half ago. Already contacted the Faber technician, he said that the motherboard was faulty, so need to be replaced. I nearly fainted when he said, “ Your machine is old model. Spare part may be discontinued and no longer available! Have to buy new machine la. *chuckle* " Aiyo…pengsan la like that, this month-end Chinese New Year , have to chip-in some $$$ to in-laws for the family gathering. Not to mention the need to allocate some for ang pow to nephews and nieces some more...
I was so relief this morning when he called that the part is still available. He’ll fix the problem as soon as he receive the part…..Pheww!!
Last night, the whole family had a candle-lit dinner at our home sweet home. Thanks to the heavy downpour, the whole area experienced a blackout…which is often the case every time it rained heavily. Hubby was in a mood to cook his fav, sweet and sour pork. Luckily, he managed to finish with the cooking just before the everything goes pitch black. Hahaha…
So that’s how my weekend goes. :) Today another new week begin…

I know, I’ve abandoned my blog for 5 days! I am guilty as charged. At first I was too lazy to go online, due to the streamyx itself. It seems to run with the speed of a snail. It took like forever to load anything…*sigh* Besides, nothing much happened during Christmas and over the weekend. Some highlight here:-
24 Dec ~ Hubby, daughter Vanessa & I went to Sacred Heart Cathedral KK for the Christmas Eve Mass. Yey, we reached there on time, just before the Christmas Carols started @ 8pm, secured a seat for ourselves ;) . The choir did a wonderful rendition of carols, a mixture of both traditional and modern. Got applause from the audience, even lil’ Vanessa clapped her hands after each songs :) . My fav got to be The First Noel! The church was so full, the air was so hot inside. All the fans were switched-on but it didn’t do much help.
Being a toddler, daughter can only sit still for 1 hour…a record so far! Thanks to the kids sitting behind who kept her amused. We retreated outside just before she started to go out of control. Even though we have to stand there, the cool night air was really refreshing. Daughter was soo happy to run around with the other kids. The Mass started @ 9pm, an hour earlier than previously,…which explain why some ppl only came at 10pm. Nevertheless, the church was so packed that the parking space at the main entrance was flooded with devotees. The plastic chairs at the chapel could not accommodate all the ppl.
25 Dec ~ On Christmas Day itself, we stayed at home, lazing around. Well, being an only child, no anticipation for other sibling to come balik kampung. It’s kinda lonely. My first ever attempt to organize a Family Christmas Gathering didn’t happened, as aunts & cuzs were too occupied with their own program. Hmm..will try again next year :) !
It’ll be a different story though if we spent Christmas with my in-laws in Keningau. Every year there will sure be a gathering. But I feel guilty to leave my mom behind, alone at home during Christmas. There is no way, mom willing to leave the house unless it’s a day trip. She’s worry about her chickens, dogs, cats and her pet burung tiung – “Who will feed them?” she said. Tough question to answer. Can’t depend too much on the aunty next door bcos she too was busy with her own family activities. “What if she forgot to feed them?” Another tough question to tackle. * sigh * In short, mom just didn’t want to bother other ppl …lagi pun mana dia harap urang lain bulih jaga ternakan dia dgn baik, macam dia! Hehe…. Then again, day trip is tiring, 2 ½ hours drive to and fro is simply exhausting..not only for the driver but also the passengers…maklumlah kereta kicil. So, in the end, STAY AT HOME only lor…*smile*
Will continue Part 2 soon. You guys might get bored with this post. It supposed to have pics to go with but I forgot to download them from camera. Tida siok bah kalau story without gambar kan…*wink*

Yesterday, hubby and I went jalan-jalan at Centre Point. Its been a while since our last visit. Hubby was looking for a new pair of sandal/slipper. His old one already worn-out. Its hard to find the one that is both comfy and with affordable price. Hush Puppies was very comfy BUT pricey too...so cancel lor. We end up checking out all the shoes shop available in the building...*LOL*
All of a sudden, teda ribut, teda angin, some security guard rushed to the upper floor...much to the surprise of the shoppers...we were no exception. Hmm...must be a pick-pocket caught in the act I thought. A few minutes later, the security guards was dragging a teenage boy..one of the many that loiters in the mall. In a blink, the escalator was crowded with teenagers. The boy in custody was shouting to another boy.I guess it must be a gang fight. Guards were trying to control the situation, asking the crowd to leave but in vain.
In the midst of the chaos, hubby sempat lagi snap these pics from my Hp camera before going on with our objective...looking for his sandal that is. Hehehe... Just look at the crowd, despite the guards intruction to leave, they did exactly the opposite!
After trudging into all the shoe shop, finally hubby settled for a pair of Kangaroo sandal. Itu pun after banyak kali fikir. The price is within the budget but the sandal was not as comfy as Hush Puppies...tapi bulih la.

Part 1 of my weekend was spent in KK. Started my Saturday earlier than usual, prepare daughter’s porridge, fried mihun for us adults, machine-wash & hang the clothes while hubby and daughter were still tucked under the blanket. Also planted the sunflower seed which I bought last month. All time, it has been lying on the kitchen cabinet, hopefully its still good. I love sunflower!

After energized by a plate of fried mihun & a cup of nescafe, I started my cleaning chores right away. This time it’s a major cleaning. Rolled the rug, swept and mopped the floors, get rid of the spider web at the corners before it spread and expand, cleaned the glass windows, changed and washed the cushion cover etc. Phewww…it sure was a tiring tasks but the end result it very satisfying. Well, the glass is not exactly sparkling clean, and the floor is not exactly dust-free but it’s cleaner than before. *wink * The BEST PART is I did it all by myself. *grin*

Before I was a mom, I normally d
o the cleaning on impulse, or in other words, ONLY when I’m in the mood. Don’t get me wrong
ya; I’m not that unhygienic or lazy person…it just that I do the floor-mopping & windows-cleaning less often, twice a month only. Hehe… Well, what can I say, motherhood really changed me in some way. Now I do it every week. Can’t do it more often bcos I work full time.
Ok, enough said on the cleaning. The next day, we went to Wisma Merdeka. It's been a while since our last visit. Missed the Hainan Steamed Chicken Rice sooo very much. During my pregnancy, nearer to the end of 2nd trimester, I used to bring hubby there, like every weekend. Each time, I can finish 2 plates of rice…LOL. I was craving mad about the food. My weight before I deliver is 67kg…crazy man! Luckily, I managed to shed the extra kilos…now @ 50kg. Still, heavier than before pregnancy but I’m not complaining. I just need to shed a few more kilos
lagi but... exercise/jogging is just not my thing. So, I guess diet is the only solution. By the way, cleaning the house is consider an exercise also
mah right?! * grin *
Back on track, Wisma Merdeka was packed with people on Sunday, most of them shopping for their
baju Raya. We went home after grabbing a few shorts. In the evening, we packed and went off to Keningau.
That's Part 1 of my weekend. See
ya in Part 2.

My long weekend is over, now back in the office. Me, so malas…Wonder why, after a long break, we tend to be lazy? Anyway, it’s freezing cold in here. It’s been raining outside since morning. Hopefully, it’ll stop later.
Fortunately, there was not many case came up during my absent. But, still I need to follow-up some outstanding cases. Better settle it soonest possible and give the update before I get the call from boss asking this and that… not in the mood to do all the talking.
I’ll write something about my long weekend later ya.

Hey, it’s Friday again. It’s going to be long weekend for me. *grin * I’m on leave next Monday, and Tuesday, Sep 16th is also a public holiday in Sabah. Yippee!! This time, the celebration of the TYT birthday will be postponed to Oct 16 bcos of the fasting month.
Came in to the office this morning with sleepy eyes but in a good mood. Slept quite late last night. Did some reading after baby Vanessa dozed-off. Another bestseller, thriller by James Patterson. I was eager to finish it last night, can’t wait to see how the story ends *grin * Must have been too absorbed into the story that I didn’t realized it was already half past midnight…Aiyoh, so fast the time go, got to get some sleep. So, I hit the pillow anyway, even though my mind and eyes still wide-awake. Still enthusiastic to get to the last page *grin* …but I was nowhere near the end when I stopped reading…LOL. Don’t know what time I dozed-off. Last thing I remember, I was rolling left and right, struggling to sleep…
Not much happened today, nothing much to do also. Just sitting in front of the computer, answering the phone. Boring. Earlier, I’ve prepared all necessary doc on one supplier for the HQ to process the payment. It is the only significant task for today. Can’t avoid glancing at the time every now and then. Isn’t it funny that when you are enjoying your time, it tends to go by so quickly? But when you are feeling bored, it’s the other way around pulak. There goes again, another yawn, probably the 100th time ..hahaha…
So far, no specific plan yet for the weekend. If hubby comes back from Bintulu, then we’ll go to Keningau. Pay my in-laws a visit and help them out in the kebun. I never had the chance to see palm oil bunches being harvested before…
Ah, finally, it’s time to go off. Have a nice weekend you all. See ya.
